Terms of Use
EdSaf is a reporting, attendance and routing platform only. It does not replace safeguarding procedures, attendance arrangements, professional judgement, or statutory responsibilities.
1. Purpose of the system
EdSaf provides a secure channel for concerns and feedback to be submitted to an organisation, and tools for recording attendance. The platform delivers information to nominated contacts within that organisation. It supports an organisation's attendance arrangements; any statutory registers remain the responsibility of the relevant school or organisation.
2. Responsibility of the organisation
- The organisation remains fully responsible for safeguarding decisions
- The organisation must follow statutory guidance (e.g. KCSIE)
- The organisation must act on information received appropriately
- The organisation must ensure assigned contacts are correct
3. Responsibility of role holders
- They are authorised by the organisation
- They will handle information confidentially
- They will act according to safeguarding policy
- They will not share login access
4. What EdSaf does not do
- Does not investigate incidents
- Does not make safeguarding decisions
- Does not monitor behaviour
- Does not replace DSL judgement
5. Availability
The system aims to be continuously available but should not be relied upon as the sole emergency reporting method. Immediate risk concerns must follow normal safeguarding procedures.
6. Data handling
Information submitted — including concerns, feedback and attendance records — is visible only to authorised contacts configured by the organisation. EdSaf acts as a processor delivering and storing submitted information. The organisation remains the data controller.
7. Acceptance
Accepting a role invitation indicates you understand the purpose of the system and your responsibilities when accessing information through it.
